Toward Empowerment and Independence for Youth with Disabilities
The center aims to provide a comprehensive system of educational and community-based services. The Vocational Rehabilitation Center, one of the flagship models of the Foundation, plays a key role in empowering youth with disabilities and preparing them to become active and productive members of society.
"Comprehensive empowerment of persons with disabilities through the provision of a safe, stimulating, and professional environment that fosters skill development and supports their economic and social independence."
A fully integrated daily care program that focuses on developing individual, social, and behavioral skills through age-appropriate, functional activities.
The program includes:
Life Skills and Communication Activities delivered through group interaction, creative, and educational experiences.
Speech Therapy Sessions to develop language and communication skills, led by specialists in speech and language disorders.
Behavioral Therapy Sessions aimed at addressing behavioral challenges and enhancing self-regulation skills in a safe, supportive environment.
A participant-centered approach that respects individual differences and prepares beneficiaries for active integration into the center’s broader programs.
The center supports the development of essential academic skills such as reading, writing, and math through flexible educational programs. These are tailored to individual learning needs and based on modern curricula adapted to the abilities of each trainee.
At the heart of the center’s mission lies its vocational rehabilitation programs, designed to equip young people with disabilities with practical skills for the labor market or small-scale entrepreneurship. These include:
Weaving Workshop (Loom):
Trainees learn the traditional art of handmade carpet weaving with a focus on quality and design.
Macramé Workshop:
Enhances precision, patience, and creativity through handmade textile art and decorative product creation.
Cleaning Products Workshop:
Teaches the safe and effective production of household cleaning products—preparing trainees for work in this field or launching home-based micro-projects.
Crochet Workshop:
Provides specialized training in crochet techniques to produce marketable home goods, clothing, and accessories.
Carpentry Workshop:
Offers hands-on, safe training in woodworking—from design to production—with a strong focus on occupational safety.
In addition to technical training, the center offers individual and group counseling sessions aimed at:
Building self-confidence
Enhancing communication skills
Supporting emotional well-being and adaptation to the work environment
The center works closely with trainees’ families and the local community to ensure sustainable training and marketing opportunities. It hosts regular exhibitions to showcase workshop products, creating pathways to community-based marketing and boosting trainees’ self-esteem.
Through its diverse programs, the Vocational Rehabilitation Center at EduFoundation strives to present an inspiring model of inclusion—where persons with disabilities are not only recipients of services, but active contributors to economic and social development.
